Visit Art City and Culture of Southern Isan in Ubon Ratchathani

 (2 Days 1 Night)

 

Day 1 Welcome the new morning and go to pay homage

"Phra Chao Yai Indra Plang" at Wat Maha Wanaram and enjoy shopping
 handmade-products at Ban Yang Noi Handicraft Arts Center (33 km.). 
After that take the trip to worship Lion Pulpit and Prathat Suan Tan at 
Ban Chi Thuan and visit brassware and silk shops at Ban Pa Ao before 
have a lunch in downtown.
               In the afternoon, leave for Wat Nong Pa Pong to worship 
Ajaan Chaa’s ashes and visit scripture hall located in the middle of a pond
 at Thung Si Muang Temple. Next appreciate and experience the artistic 
wisdom of Thai-Chinese-European styled ordination hall from the ancient 
times at Wat Supattanaramworawihan and the hall shaped in the 
Suphannahong Royal Barge at Wat Sa Prasan Suk. Afterwards, go to pay 
homage Buddha's relics at Wat Nong Bua and stay overnight in town
 (estimated distance about 100 km.).
 
Day 2     In the morning leave for Phibun Mansahan District (45 km);
 inhale a fresh breath at Kaeng Saphue and visit Ban Sai Mun village the 
source of making gong (Thai classical musical instrument in circle shape).
 Then straight up to Pha Taem National Park (+55 km) to see the longest 
prehistoric paintings in Thailand and to appreciate magnificent scene of 
the Mekong river at Thai-Lao border (in the rainy season accessible to 
Saeng Chan waterfall-Unseen Thailand) and have lunch at Khong –
Cheam District.
               Travel to Kaeng Tana National Park in the afternoon; shop at 
Chong Meg (Lao Border) and get back safely to Ubon or residence 
(total distance about 250 km.)
 
Visit Yasothon City of Stylish Sky Rocket (2 Days and 1 Night)
 

Day 1      Depart to pay homage Phrathat Anon at Wat Mahathat and

visit ancient constructions around Wat Sing Tha. Then travel

 to Dong Muang Tei archeology site at Kham Kien Keaw District

 (25km) and pay homage the largest white emerald Buddhist image

 in Thailand and statuary of Isan meditation masters in the great

 pagoda at Wat Phra Phutta Bat Yasothon (+35 km).Go to see what

popped-rice garland is at Wat Ho Kong and enjoy lunch meal at

Maha Chanachai District.

 After lunch, go sightseeing and learning the legend of Prathat-

 Kong Kao Noi before shopping triangular backrests, Khit clothes

 at Ban Si Than and stay in Yasothon town

(total distance about 170 km.).

 

Day 2    Expose to the nature at Phu Mak Pik, Khud Chum District

(65 km.) in the morning, journey to watch the glory of wooden

Christ church at Ban Songyae  (unseen in Thailand) and have

 luncheon at Khud Chum District.

             In the afternoon, go shopping wicker works at Ban Na Samai

             and Ban Thung Nang Oak, buy preserved fish and rice noodles

 with coconut cream - the famous souvenir of Yasothon and

get back home (total distance about 140 km)

 

Visit Ancient Boundary Marker of the Temple,  Amnat Charoen

(2 Days and 1 Night)

 

Day 1  Start off the trip in the morning by leaving for Ru Amnat District

 (20 km.) to pay respect Pra Rit Lu Chai at Wat Ban Amnat and

go to see priceless antique boundary marker of the temple at

Ban Pua Dong Hua archeology site. Thereafter travel to worship

another holy Buddhist image Pra Lao Thep Nimit at Pana District

(+20 km.), see a large number of hilarious monkeys at

Don Chao Pu Forest Park and have lunch at in Pana town.

 

Go to observe weaving and cutting of color stones at

Ban Sang Tho Art and Handicraft Center, Hua Tha Pan District

(+45 km.) after luncheon. Then go to Wat Pa Ban Nong Lai to see

 skillful antique wisdom of mural at Wat Ban Nong Lai and go up

to viewing tower at Chalerm Prakiat Zoo, Ban Na Khu. Enjoy

 shopping natural color cotton products at Ban Kham Pra, Hua

-Tha Phan District afterward and stay at Amnat Charoen

(total distance about 110 km.).

 

Day 2   In the morning, go to pay worship Phra Mongkhon Ming Muang,

 have an exciting experience at Seang Phet Cave (20 km.) and

also close to the nature at Phu Pha Phueng Forest Park (+15 km.).

Then get back to have lunch in town.

 

Spend time at ease in the afternoon by going to see and shop

 mattresses in Mud Mee pattern at Ban Na Moh Mah (20 kg.).

After that visit thousand-year- boundary marker of the temple at

 Wat Dong Tao Kae and purchase fame Jusmin rice in town before

 going back to the residence (total distance about 100 km.).

 

Charming of Lamduan Flower at Si Sa Ket  (2 Days and 1 Night)

 

Day 1  Travel to pay homage Luang Pho To at Wat Maha Phruttharam

in the morning. Next visit Prasart Hua Tab Tan (45km.) and also

 buy famous roasted chicken at Hua Tab Tan District. Then visit

Prasart Hin Wat Sa Kamphaeng Yai and have meal at

Uthumphon Phisai District.

            After visiting Prasart Hin Wat Sa Kamphaeng Yai in the morning,

visiting Prasart Hin Wat Sa Kam Peang Noi is next trip. Then visit

an architectural mixed style of Laotian, Suai, Cambodian and

Yer people at Wat Phrathat Ruang Rong. Feel relaxing among

more than five thousands Lamduan trees (sphaerocoryne clavipes)

 at Sri Nakarin Park and spend more time to watch sunset at

Maung Sri Art and Culture Center, Hua Nam Kham. At night,

stay overnight at downtown in Si Sa Ket (total distance about

 110 km.).

 

Day 2

Trace back to Kmer civilization with the trip to Khao Pra Wihan

 National Park and well-known Prasart Khao Pra Wihan of Cambodia

 (100 km.) in the morning and spend lunch meal at

 Kanthararak District.

             In the afternoon, go to Wat Pa Maha Jedi Kaeo (Wat Larn Kuad) 
at Khunhan District (in the rainy season can be assessable to Huai Chan
 and Sam Rong Kiat Waterfall) and return home (total distance 
about 200 km.).
 
Visit Civilization of Dome River Basin and Emerald Triangle Forest, 
Ubon Ratchathani (2 Days and 1 Night)
 
Day 1   In the morning, leave from the city to Dej Udom District
 (45 km.) to witness beautiful nature at Wat Pah Sai Ngam and visit
 Ban Kra Bua Handicraft Center and cotton clothes shops at Ban –
Non Sawang. After that go back to Dej Udom to visit a group of 
producing aromatic candle and then have luncheon.
               Travel to Phu Jong Na Yoi National Park at Na Ja Luai District 
(75 km.)in the afternoon and stay overnight amid beautiful scene at the
 park (total distance about 130 km.).
 
Day 2  Get up lively and travel to Huai Luang waterfall while feel 
impressed by nature both roadside. Enjoy rafting at Kaeng Ka Lao 
and have fun with parade of shrimp during September at Kaeng Lamduan
 (20km) and have a meal at Num Yeun District afterward. 
           After lunch, go to village of painting Thai way of life on 

canvas at Ban Pla Khao and visit Prasart Thong Lang.

Then get back to Ubon city, purchase souvenirs, and get

back home safely (total distance about 140 km.).

 

Visit Chee-Mun River Basin Connecting Ubon-Si Sa Ket- Yasothon

 (3 Days and 2 Nights)

 

Day1   At 8.00 leave from Ubon to pay homage Phra Chao Yai Indra –

Plang at Wat Maha Wanaram after that go to Khao Pra Wihan –

National Park and sight a bas-relief picture at Mo I Daeng cliff

and Prasart Khao Pra Wihan of Cambodia (100km.). Then have

lunch at Kan Thararak District.

In the afternoon, leave for Si Sa Ket (60km.) and live amidst more

than five thousands Lamduan trees (sphaerocoryne clavipes) at

Somdet Phra Si Nakarin Park. Afterward, go to see pagoda built

 with a architectural mixed styles of Laotian, Suai, Cambodian

and Yer people at Wat Phrathat Ruang Rong; and stay at night in

town (total distance about 200 km.).

 

Day 2  At 8:30 a.m travel to worship Luang Pho To at Wat Maha

Phruttharam then go to Prasart Wat Sa Kamphaeng Yai at

 Uthumphon Phisai district (26km.). Next, go to Wat Ho Kong,

Maha Chanachai District (+45 km.) to see popped-rice garland

and have luncheon over there.

            After lunch, visit Phra That Kong Khao Noi (+45 km.) and spend
 time on shopping triangle pillow and Khit clothes at Ban Si Than 
(+25 km.). At night stay at Yasothon (total distance about 200 km.). 

 

Day 3  .Begin the trip to pay respect Prathat Anon at Wat Maha That 

and Luang Phu Paung at Wat Si Thammaram at 8.00 a.m..

Afterward, travel to Ubon Ratchathani and visit and buy the

 products at Yang Noi Handicraft Arts Center, Kieng Nai District

 (67 km.). Have lunch at Ubon town and purchase more souvenirs

 in the city before return home (total distance about 100 km.).

 

Travel along Khong River Linking Ubon- Amnat Charoen

 

Day 1  Depart from Ubon at 8.00 a.m. to worship Phra Chao Yai Indra –

Plang at Wat Maha Wanaram and then go to Amnat Charoen

(80km.).Observe weaving and gem cutting at Ban Sang Tho

Handicraft Arts-

 Center, Hua Tha Pan District after that go to watch exotic mural

 at Wat Pah Nong Lai. Overlook at the top of viewing tower at

Chalerm Prakiat Zoo; then, pay homage Pra Lao Them Nimit

and go to have lunch at Pana District.

 

Go to Ban Na Moh Mah in the afternoon to see mattresses in

 Mud Mee pattern after that pay respect Phra Mongkhon-

 Ming Muang. At the end of the day, stay overnight at

Amnat Charoen town (total distance about 110 km.).

 

Day 2  Take a trip to Wat Tham Saeng Phet at 8.00 a.m. (20km.)

and get close to nature at Phu Sing-Phu Pha Phueng Forest Park. 
Then go to Khem Marat District (+100km.) to worship Pra Chao-
 Yai Ong Saen at Wat Pho, sightsee marvelous landscape at 
Khong river and have lunch at Amnat Charoen town.
            In the afternoon, pay homage Pra Chao Yai Ong Tee at 
Wat Pak Sae (+20km.) after that play the water at Hat Saleng at 
Ban Song Khon (+20km.).Back to the future to see pre-historical
 painting at Pha Taem National Park (+40km.) and stay overnight 
at Khong Jiam (+40km.) (Total distance is about 200 kms.).
 
Day 3  At 8.00 a.m. go sightseeing at Kaeng Tana National Park 
(10km.) and spend time on shopping at Chong Meg market (+15km.).
 Then return to Ubon city (+97km.) to have luncheon and buy the 
souvenirs. Go back home safely (total distance about 140 km.).
 
Open the Gate to Indochina: One Day Trip to Cham Pa Sak, 
PDR. Lao (1 Day)
 
               Start the journey at 8.00 a.m. to Chong Meg border, 
Sirindhorn district (97km.) after that across the border to Champasak 
and travel to Pak Sae (+40km.).  During the journey, sight the local 
people’s way of living, bridge over Mekong River, and gorgeous 
backdrop of Pak Sae city. Then go to Khon Pah Pheng waterfall 
named Niagara of Asia in the south (+160km.) and have lunch at
 the waterfall. In the afternoon, go back to shop local products and 
duty-free goods at Chong Meg border and across the border back to 
Ubon Ratchathani (total distance about 600 km.).
 
Open the Gate to Indochina: From Chong Sa Ngam Border to
Nakorn Wat (3 Days and 2 Nights)
 
Day 1  Leave from Si Sa Ket to Thai-Cambodia border at 
Chong Sa Ngam, Phu Sing District (120km.). Cross the border to
 Al Leong Weng- Khmer Rough territory in the past, and travel to
 Siam Reab (+135km.) for lunch. In the afternoon, boat in scenic 
Tonle Sap Great Lake to observe Cambodia fishermen and rafters’
 way of life, watch the magical sunset at Prasart Ba Keng and stay 
at Siam Reab (total distance about 250 km.).
 
Day 2  Experience the great Khmer civilization with the trip to 
Prasart Nakorn Wat, Prasart Nakorn Thom, Prasart Tah Prom, and
Prasart Ban Tai Si. Have dinner while watching exotic local 
Cambodia displays and stay overnight at Siam Reab
 (total distance about 50 km.).
 
Day 3  Start the day with shopping at Siam Reab market 
throughout the morning. Afterward, have lunch and come back 
to Thailand through Chong Sa Ngam border, Si Sa Ket
 (total distance about 250 km.).
